Web Cams & NE PEZ Convention-information

Hi Everyone,

  On Wednesday April 18^th the Northeast PEZ Con Hospitality Room will be open.  Convention packages can be picked up starting in the early afternoon.  If you are signed up for the bus trip please visit our web site www.PezGathering.com and click on “bus list assignments/details” for important last minute information you need to know.  If you want to register for the convention you will have to come to the hospitality room and sign up in person.

  For those that can’t come to the convention, but would like to share in some of the fun we have a treat for you.   About 10 years ago at the Northeast PEZ Con we had a live web cam set up.  A couple years ago we set up a web chat with the Swedish PEZ Gathering from our convention in Myrtle Beach.  Web cam technology has improved and it’s time to try it again.

  At the “Northeast PEZ Collectors Gathering” starting on Wednesday April 18 thru Saturday April 21st we will have a web cam set up in the convention hospitality room.  It will also be set up Saturday morning during the “public show”.    We will also have a hand held web cam and try to get you some fun footage from who knows where at the convention.  It would be better if you come to the convention, but if you can’t at least you will be able to see parts of it via the Internet.     

 If you go to our web site www.Pezify.com you will see a couple links to “You Tube” and “Ustream”.  The live stream web cams are on Ustream.  If you miss the live Ustream feeds there will also be videos posted on the Ustream site, so check them out.

  Hopefully this will be a way to bring PEZ conventions to those that can’t attend in person and perhaps make you want to attend one.  Sit back and enjoy the show….

Time to Prep for the PEZ Convention!

It's April. Time to prepare for the 14th Annual Northeast PEZ Convention and bus trip to PEZ! So, what should you be doing? 1-Time to get out your PEZ shirts, clean them and get them ready. 2-Next, get out your price guide and books to pack. 3-Next, make a list of what PEZ you have and what you will be looking for. 4-Check our web site www.PezGathering.com to make sure you know where the hotel is located and check out what's in walking distance of the hotel. 5-Get your camera ready. You will see more PEZ in one place than ever before. You will want to make sure to take pictures. Plus, if you are going on the bus trip, make sure you have the cameras ready for that. 6-If you are going on the bus trip to PEZ, make sure you have money or a credit card. PEZ has exclusive dispensers for sale at their store you will want to purchase. Also, bring a few loose PEZ dispesers and a marker pen. Never know who you will see at the PEZ Visitors center. You may want their autograph and a picture! 7-For the convention, make sure you bring plenty of cash. The hotel ATM's always run out of cash during the convention. Don't cut your PEZ buying short. 8-Lastly, time to get psyched! April 19-21 will be here before you know it!

Northeast PEZ Convention- PEZ Con dispensers

Ok, got the 2012 Northeast PEZ convention dispensers sorted and counted. All 28 of the purple will go to "Absentee Convention packets". We will have ONLY 15 sets of all 6 dispensers available for sale at the convention as a group. The rest will be in convention packets as follows: 36 yellow, 50 red, 80 white, 97 blue and 98 gray. They will be very mixed

NE PEZ Convention/Bus Trip details posted!

The Northeast PEZ Collectors Gathering is just a little over a month away. The “Bus Assignments” and details are now posted to our web site at www.PezGathering.com. If you are “registered” for the Bus Trip to the PEZ Visitors Center please make sure you read ALL of the important details. The bus assignments can not be changed.

If you missed signing up the bus, do not miss out on the convention. You can still register for the “Northeast PEZ Collectors Gathering” and do all of the convention events. Then you can check out the PEZ Visitors Center on your own. The visitors center will be open Monday – Saturday April 16-21 from 10am-6pm and on Sunday April 22nd 12-5pm. I have to tell you about a new site where you can, BUY, SELL or TRADE collectibles for FREE! I joined the site in November, it was free then and it still is. I keep waiting for them to add fees, but they haven’t. So its time to tell you about it. Go to www.coollectors.com and check it out. They added a section for us PEZ collectors. Payment is due for Bus Trip to PEZ!

NE PEZ Con/ Bus Trip to PEZ! The deadline for reservations for the bus trip to PEZ is January 1st! Please do not forget this means PAYMENT is due January 1st too. It doesn’t matter if you said you were coming, the bus company has to be paid. We now have four full size buses filled! At almost $1,000 per bus this is a costly trip so you can understand why we need your payment. Some people have said they are coming, but didn’t send payment yet. We can't cover all the people that stated they would like to come, but have not paid. Please send in your money, or your seat will unfortunately not be saved. Paid bus reservations will be given priority over non-paid. Once we have reservations for all four buses (paid) we will start a waiting list. We can’t guarantee another bus will be added, but if another bus is added price is subject to change. Here is the information again. Buses are standing by for “Convention registrants”. We will board several luxury coach buses at the Sheraton Stamford Hotel, 700 E Main St, Stamford, CT. The first bus will leave promptly at 8am Friday, April 20, 2012. Other buses shortly thereafter. The bus will drive us in comfort to the brand new PEZ Visitor’s Center, arriving about 1 hour later. We will be treated as VIP’s with a “Special Offer/Event” only exclusive for the “bus group”. Explore the world of PEZ for 2 ½ hours. Trip includes: Round trip bus transportation, admission to the PEZ Visitor Center, The “Special Offer/Event for our group only, VIP treatment, “PEZ goodies” from the PEZ Visitor Center, Special Commemorative Pin and memories of a lifetime. If you were ever thinking about going to the visitor center, this will be “THE” time to go. Registration closes Jan 1st . Are you planning on attending the bus trip to PEZ and the Northeast PEZ Collectors Gathering? Did you send in your reservation form yet? I hope you did…... PEZ- Check your Santa!

Take a look at this years Santa PEZ! There is a difference in them. Looking at the picture, the Santa with snowflakes has a 2 piece head-look at the tan face piece. The Santa without snowflakes the head is one piece. Cool, at $1 retail its a must buy!

The new digital/color Dec/Jan issue of PEZ Collectors News is now available for download. You can go to our web site www.PezCollectorsNews.com and click on the links to download the new issue from Amazon.com to read on your e-reader. Don’t do digital, like to read it in print? We have been publishing a print issue since 1995 and will continue to do so. The print issue is 36 pages. The new issue is at the printer and due to be sent before the end of the month.
